12.1.5 PTR Preview: The Unbinding of Kith'ix and Kindo'jan's Labyrinth

12.1.5 adds a new single-boss raid, The Unbinding of Kith'ix — Kith'ix is bound in a lair beneath the Vaults of Ula'tek, tying it directly into this season's existing raid story, and you fight alongside Lady Liadrin. It runs on Normal, Heroic, and Mythic only — there's no LFR wing for this one, based on the datamined activity list.

Kith'ix kills count toward the same Great Vault Raid row as The Venomous Abyss and the Tidebound Grotto Lair, so it's a genuine extra option for that vault slot, not a separate track — a quick Kith'ix kill on top of your usual raid night is close to pure upside for vault progress. The bigger systemic addition this patch is Kindo'jan's Labyrinth — an ancient Amani funerary complex, freshly reopened, guarded by looting vermin, Vilebranch trolls, and buried spirits. It's built on the same exploration/discovery bones as Delves, but at a larger scale, with its own progression track, unlockable traits, and rewards that scale with how far you push.

The concrete gearing hook: clearing the Labyrinth's chambers on higher tiers unlocks higher Delve tiers for the rest of the season — Tier 1 opens Tier 2 delves, and so on up the chain. If you're a Delve-focused player, this is the thing that raises your ceiling this patch, not a new currency to grind. A new tracking currency, Kindo'jan's Labyrinth Journey, follows your progress through it, alongside a Renown-style track (Renown - Season 2 Labyrinth) for the wider unlock chain. You can run it as one long push or break it into stages — datamined achievements confirm a per-chamber structure, and at least part of it is solo-viable.

A new zone-wide public event, Aqir Invasions, is also in this build — hourly, 10-minute events in Eversong or Zul'Aman that move players through a sequence of objectives before a boss fight at the end. A new Aqir Research Enclave reputation is attached to it. Specific gear rewards aren't confirmed in the data yet, so treat this as a new thing to do, not a new gearing target, until that firms up.
